Rotala macrandra ‘Pearl’ เป็นสายพันธุ์ย่อยของโรทาล่ามาครานดร้าที่มีลักษณะเด่นคือใบเรียวยาว สีชมพูอมแดงอ่อน มีความแวววาวคล้ายไข่มุก จึงได้รับชื่อว่า “Pearl” ซึ่งเป็นไม้พรรณน้ำที่ให้ความสวยงามโดดเด่นเมื่อปลูกในตำแหน่งพื้นหลังหรือกลางตู้

Rotala macrandra ‘Pearl’ is a beautiful variant of the classic rose rotala, known for its slender, delicate leaves with a soft pink to red hue and a pearlescent shine—hence the name “Pearl.” This striking coloration makes it an excellent choice for midground to background planting in aquascapes where vivid contrast is desired.

This plant thrives in high light conditions and benefits greatly from CO2 injection. Its coloration and growth are highly dependent on stable water parameters and a nutrient-rich environment, especially iron. Under optimal conditions, the leaves turn a deep, vibrant red with a soft shimmer.

Regular trimming of the top stems encourages lateral shoots, creating a dense, bushy appearance that enhances the aesthetics of the aquarium.
